所属議員の覚醒剤取締法違反容疑で逮捕が対外的な一発目の仕事とは、ちょっとかわいそうな気がする(^^;。
ただ、就任後の報道番組へのテレビ出演でいきなりホワイトバンドをしてくるのはいかがなものかと思う。共同募金の赤い羽根をスーツにつけてくるのとはレベルが違う。
ホワイトバンド運動（？）ってのは、公式サイトにもあるように、「最貧国の債務を帳消しにする。援助の質を高めて量もふやす。貿易を公正にする。」という運動。ホワイトバンドを身につけることによって、その意思をそれぞれの政府に届けよう、という「政治運動」だよ。まぁ公式サイトでは「政治運動ではありません」と書いてあるけど、債務帳消しなんて、債権国政府が決めることだし、政府の意思決定に食い込んでいこうというんだから、誰がどう考えても政治運動でしょ、これ。
その政治運動を政治家、それも日本の第二党の党首が推進しているの？ 民主党は「日本は最貧国への債務帳消し」を党の政策として考えているのか？ なおこの運動、他国では対象を明確に「アフリカ」としているのに、日本のそれは「最貧国」としている。まさか事務局は最貧国に「北朝鮮」を加えようとしているのではあるまいな、ということも言及せねばなるまい。本当に民主党がそういう政策を打ち出すというのなら、ホワイトバンドを身につけてテレビ出演するのもありだと思う。ただ、その辺を党としてクリアにしているとはどう考えても思えない。
一言。脇が甘い！。
