エンタテイメントやら何やら
SummerSlamのテーマ曲になった「SummerTimeBlues」が入ったRushのアルバムを偶然見つけて、即購入。「SummerTimeBlues」といえばTheWhoという世代の私だが、あらためて聴くとこの曲、70年代の日本の曲にえらく影響を与えているな、と。まぁ平たく言えば日本側の「パクリ」ですか（笑）？ 当時はそんなこと考えもしなかったけどねぇ（当たり前か(^^;）…
ちなみに私はCATVでWWEを観ているので、PPVは観られないんですね。人に言わせると「最近はイマイチ」だそうなんだけど、でもやっぱり面白いんですわ。「何でかな？」と考えると、結局番組作りなんだな。エンタテイメント云々よりも、番組自体が面白い。番組を面白くするために、エンタテイメントという手法を採用している、と書けばわかりやすいか？ 日本のマット界にWWEの成功例を持ち出す輩はプロアマ問わず「エンタテイメント」を上位概念においているきらいがあるけど、本当に視聴者や観客に提示すべきは「面白い見世物」なんだよね。そんなことは百も承知しているんだろうけど、考えているうちにエンタテイメントが上位概念になっちゃうんだろうな。わざわざエンタテイメントにしなくても、面白い見世物はあるわけでね。広義のエンタテイメントとでも書こうか。まぁそこんとこだよね。難しいよな、実際にやるのは(^^;。

シンコペーションの多用かぁ… 確かに仰るとおり。私が「あれ？ これってメロディは違うけど、あの曲と雰囲気似ているな」と感じた謎が氷解(^^)。
アルバムの方はカバー集なんですが、SummerTimeBlues以外は「バンド名は知っているけど、曲名は…」という世界だったのですが、それがかえって新鮮だったりして(^^)。８曲入りで2100円なので、お手軽といえばお手軽ですね。

サマータイムブルースが７０年代邦楽に与えた影響といえば…シンコペーションの多用ですかね？と、Summertime bluesといえば子供バンドな私は考える訳です。
因みにRushの新譜ってカバー集なんですね。ちょっと興味あるかも。
